While every part of the system is working and okay, (Dish, Head, Cable), the Receiver does not receive signals. It shows "NO SIGNAL". We checked with another same receiver it is okay and working. What will be the problem with Euro-9700 PLUS?
Thnks
Dear tnzd, I had moved your post to a new topic to make the forum easy to follow for other users. For next time, please try to post your query in a related thread or creat a new one if you couldn't find a thread that resembles to the question you are about to raise.
Having said that, let me get back to your questions.
The first thing to check is your DISEQ setting(if you are using a DISEQswitch).
Make sure the diseq settings are set to the proper port.
once you rule out the diseq, make sure you have the right TP added into the sattelite. If I am not mistaken this Eurostar version doesn't have blind search capability so you need to add the right transponder(frequency, symbolrate and polarization).
Third is to check if the Tuner is not fried.
A partial test to check if the tuner hasn't gone bad is to use a multimeter and measure the output voltage on the port that the coaxial cable is pluged in.
Measure the voltage across it, and you should expect 18volt when a horizontal channel is selected and around 13volt when a vertical channel is selected.
If you couldn't get that then the tuner has gone bad and it has to be replaced.
The steps to troubleshoot really depends on yoursetup and what has transpired just before the reciver started acting up.
so you need to tell us a bit more
if the receiver has been working in this same setup before
if the setup has been changed recently
if you have a diseq switch or not ...
The good thing is as you have the exact same reciever you could reinstall your non-working reciever using the working one by just connecting the two with RS232cable.
